Savvas Savouri is Managing Director of QuantMetriks Research based in London. Between 1984 and 1991 Savvas Savouri earned Bachelor, Master and Doctoral degrees in Econometrics and Mathematical Economics from the London School of Economics (LSE).

During the writing of his PhD (1988-1991) Savvas lectured at the LSE, University of Oxford and Woolwich University. He taught both undergraduate and postgraduate students in a range of subjects including statistics, mathematics, economics and forecasting. Savvas was also involved in producing research at the LSE's Centre for Economic Performance and Oxford's Institute for Economics and Statistics. His research work has been published in various academic journals (Economic Journal, Economic Policy, Economic Outlook and the Scottish Journal of Political Economy) as well as appearing as chapters within a number of texts.

In 1991 after a brief period at Henley Forecasting, Savvas joined Hoare Govett Securities as their UK economist. In 1994 Savvas moved to Credit Lyonnais Securities to develop a quantitative economics product for the UK. In 1996 Savvas launched the first quantitative economics service of its kind, exploiting the rich data available from the UK's central statistical agency, the ONS. The dataset - offering timely and extremely detailed information at the sector level for prices, costs and demand - had until then been grossly underutilised. The system developed by Savvas allowed the rich sector data to be transformed into profit signals, with the underlying economic data generating measurement metrics for operating margin and revenues, and offering users a check-and-balance against reported company earnings

In 1999 Savvas and his team moved to Commerzbank Securities to develop a European side to their system, the team returning to Credit Lyonnais in 2002, where a Japanese dimension was added

In 2003 the team moved to Lazard developing a US dataset. Their quantitative data was widely used at the Capital Markets, Asset Management and Banking levels.

In 2005 Savvas, Takis and Nasos Christodoulopoulos and Elena Kilikita formed QuantMetriks Research Limited. They simultaneously launched the website QuantMetriks.com, on which their extensive dataset is platformed.
