CQS was founded by Michael Hintze, Chief Executive Officer and Senior Investment Officer. Mr. Hintze was Head of European Convertible Bonds at CSFB and Head of UK Equity Trading and European Convertible Bond Trading at Goldman Sachs, having started his career at Salomon Brothers.
Mr. Hintze holds degrees in Physics and Pure Mathematics and Electrical Engineering from the University of Sydney. He also holds an MSc in Acoustics from the University of New South Wales and an MBA from Harvard Business School and served as a captain in the Australian Army.
